third party viewers (imprudence, Kirsten’s, etc, etc, etc) please feel free to include this code into yours. linden lab? well… my rates are very reasonable.
Qarl, does this solve the prim rotation bug? I swear to god its like pulling teeth to try to get anything to stay aligned and its driven better builders than I to swear off SL entirely.
Hero – The client release was delayed a bit, the existing code needed some tweaks (We added in quick-key the same way ctrl for rotate and ctrl-shift for scale work) Releasing it tonight.
Ah, if only I read this earlier – that would have helped a bit for the Pantheon I built this weekend… although the bulk of it was built in 3ds Max. (What would be neat is if there were the 3ds equivalent of the Clone and Array tools on SL. Oh — object instancing would be an even greater benison! I want to be able to make a change on a single Corinthian column reused like a hundred times throughout a build, and have all the Corinthian columns reflect that change.)
In SL, I have a couple of homebrewed LSL-based alignment (they only work prim to prim, touch prim A, align to prim B – not en masse like that) and array tools (simple unit circle hack). It’s weak stuff. Stronger, *viewer-based* advanced building tools are totally needed on SL!
If anyone knows how reasonable your rates are, it’s LL. 😉
great tool!
now, orthographic views. we’ll need that by friday, kthnx 🙂
This rocks. Thank you!
I eagerly await the inclusion of this in Imprudence (my current favorite viewer). 😀
Aw, I needed this so many times. I’m so happy it exists now. Thank you, Qarl!
Epic, I currently use Imprudence as well and I would love to see this feature implemented.
Totally awesome, Qarl. Already snagged this and got it in Ascent. Backporting didn’t take too much, either!
Ohh I need this, like now. Somebody integrate it, I’ll use the first viewer that has it.
Lili – That would be Ascent.
I have just downloaded Ascent, it doesn’t appear to be integrated in it? Any ideas how to get this working?

Very nice! I love it!

I missed such a tool since I rezzed my first prims. Thank you Qarl!
Awesome idea, I’m glad to hear that you haven’t abandoned SL entirely, we would miss your genius.
Qarl…I would bear your children….if i had a uterus. This is amazing..ty
Awesome qarl, i tried this out in the latest Imprudence Experimental and works great. Hope theres more juicey stuff from you soon 🙂

This is GREAT. *applauds wildly* Now, for your next trick, how about aligning to the center? Or is that there, but I’m missing it?
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!
This really helps. It works, and the pack tool works with groups of linked objects, even. This is just sovereign.
Fantastic work qarl!!!
Now do that to textures, pretty please? (((:
