keeping track of the joneses
sometimes you need to know where your friends are. sometimes you need to know where your enemies are. sometimes you need to know if your friends are hanging-out behind your back. sometimes you need to know where you left your car.
what you need is track.lsl and marker.lsl. track.lsl accepts positioning data. marker.lsl creates pins from linked prims.
use them with beacon.lsl and worldMap.lsl to create a map of the world. get your friends to wear the beacon script – put it in your car – your vending machine – anything you want to keep track of.
but getting your enemies to wear a beacon may be problematic.
instead use scanner.lsl and simMap.lsl (with track and marker above) to create a little tiny replica of your land. see who’s where doing what.
better yet, download everything in a package. and don’t forget the qLab library.
